P.S. The new Apes is fan-fucking-tastic!
Thanks for the heads up, I didn't even know they had something coming out. I love these guys. Great songs, incredible live show. I've seen them like 6 or 7 times and they always give the headliner a run for their money.

Will totally be at this CD show.

Do you still consider Marnie Stern obscure? ;)

go out on the street and ask people if they've ever heard of her. i'll bet you 1000:1 you won't get a 99% hit rate. that qualifies as obscure.

wow, great job digging up the past - you might wanna consider some new material. can i go back to posting info on shows that i don't remember seeing announced here? thanks!

Wait… something has to be recognized by 99% of society or it's "obscure?" That bar seems set ridiculously high. I bet if you polled 1000 people at random you're going to get more then 1% who have never heard of Bruce Springsteen, U2, Tom Brady, LeBron James, or John McCain and those things are hardly obscure.
sorry, badly worded… i meant that i'm ready to bet that 99% don't know her, i.e. she is recognized by less than 1% of people asked.

me not right good 2day. i shaddap now.

Oh… yeah, that makes alot more sense. Nevermind.

If it was a LOT more than 1%, like 100%, what a beautiful America that would be…

they are surprisingly good live.
i liked enon better when rick lee was in the band
They were definitely better when Rick Lee was in the band, but they are still fun to see live.

They still haven't beat the Black Cat show w/ Les Savy Fav (at the old black cat) for me. Or the show at the old ottobar w/ the same line-up.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Nissan Pavilion
It appears tha Kaki King has been added to the Nada Surf/What Made Milwaukee Famous lineup. That's going to be one long, but impressive, night of music.
I don't think this has been posted yet
