I don't like this band either but this seems bizarre. You do not know you don't have to watch them, right? You will not get cancer from being in the same venue as Cage The Elephant.

If cage the elephant gets more people to listen to Beck and Spoon, that's a good thing. OR, it will be filled with a bunch of assholes who are only there for that band and act like dicks for the other acts.

Come on people…it's not like they are Philadelphia sports fans…

I have no idea what the 'avg CtE' fan looks like…but this is really asking for someone to create some memes of what we 'think' a CtE fan would be like…be sure to add 'cancer injection tools'

Beck with Britt Daniel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fu4LrAz51wU#action=share

As someone who usually opts for lawn tickets, I can see your argument. But does it really matter if you're a seat buyer?

Right? I feel like I'm missing some cultural touchstone about this fanbase.

This has the most potential of any TAN that's been proposed in a while. Good thinking. Let's start with DFA1979 as a base and add corduroys and a hackysack.

What did Cage The Elephant do to all of your families?

I saw them once at The National and, again, while it wasn't my thing, it was hardly one of the most awful experiences of my life. I think you all will be fine if you overhear the dulcet tones of CTE from 9:32 and have to tolerate their (apparently horrific) fans?

For me, a calloused concert-goer who has seen all of these bands, if it were Beck and Spoon, maybe a 60 minute Spoon set and an 90 minute Beck set would work for me. I think that on a 3 band bill, we will get a very short Spoon set. and a shortened Beck set, to make room for a 60-ish minute middle set by CtE. I do not fear the elephant cagers or their fans. Just sounds like it will be a disappointing night for me, personally. Make CtE the opener, give em 30 minutes to make their case, and I am there.

Uchis participated in a jazz band, before her graduation from T. C. Williams High School. Uchis often skipped classes

Caught her open for Lana Del Rey last year. Very talented. Her debut is solid.
Did anyone mention The Distillers at the club May 31 yet?

I would go to this show if it was at Wolftrap. Maybe. Less sure of that than Beck/Spoon.

With Jade Bird opening which thankfully cancels out FJM somewhat

Have you considered how FJMs set is going to impact the other set lengths, not to mention the pains of dealing with the notoriously annoying FJM fanboys?
