Holy monkeyballs, I have her poster up from the last time she was here. My Peaches shirt is all faded too.

Id imagine so, Its not so bad. But I do drive to work in College Park every weekend so it seems a lot shorter for me. It's incredibly worth it. It's better than driving to NYC to see SMD.
anywhere i go i have to drive from college park now.  what kind of weekend jobs are there in CP?
And thats great news about Lady Sovereign.  I just started listening to her. Her flow is quit infectious.
Not sure if these are in here somewhere already, but…

$29.50 for Beirut? They must be kidding. Didn't he last play at DC9? He's a decent novelty act at best. But I guess in a world in which people can get excited about an acoustic Spinal Tap your, there's room for all kinds of novelties.

That does seem kind of extreme…M Ward was $20 at the same venue. How many people are in the Beirut stage show?

Los Campesinos played the same song 11 times in a row at the Ottobar this past winter.
I called the box office…guy said "you're gonna have to call ticketmaster…we sold out of our allotment…"

I didn't know they have an allotment…interesting. I wonder if ticketmaster/livenation has some control now over how Sixth and I handles their ticketing. Maybe someone here works for livenation, please help me figure it out…

Ticketmaster will cost close to $40.

Was it at least a good song?

I'm in the exact same boat. Thought about it but that price is completely unjustifiable.

It's sucks too, b/c TM has two fees added to the ticket. So the total is approx. $40 if you do snail mail (free). One suggestion is to tag up w/ others and do a bulk order. The fees don't inflate.
I wish I had it in me to just ignore the show and to demonstrate against the high price, but as we all know there is always someone willing to pay the cost and go.
If you call the 6th & I box office directly to purchase (For Beirut), there are no service charges.
they are sold out of their allotment, see previous page…  ::)
