Elton John & Friends

(Fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Elton John AIDS Foundation and Friends In Deed)
Monday, October 20
New Amsterdam Theatre, New York, NY
Tickets: $500 - $2500
So my bitching about not having a solid EDM promoter in the area may actually come to an end? :)

I still can't believe not one venue booked either a Flying Lotus or Daedelus PA. Both are/have been on the east coast quite a bit in the last few months and…nothing.

what's your source on this? i'd like to see where else they're playing, another date/place combo might be more convenient for me. EDIT: nevermind, found it.

They Might Be Giants 11/28 930

How are they these days?
I really enjoyed their DC show last year. It was one of the last shows of their tour, but they seem to really like coming to 930. The setlist was great, and it was just a fun evening, overall.

Definitely MF now.

Although the kind people of the 930 Club would make me ridiculously happy if they pushed the Deerhoof set back a couple hours. :)

I've been asking Seth NOT to have Nada Surf play so this announcement is terribly disappointing :(
I've been asking for people to stop wasting bandwidth but what can you do?;P

For you crazy hippies:

New Potato Caboose
"Reunion Show" with special guests TBA!
The Birchmere
Date: Friday 12/26/2008
Time: 7:30 PM
Cost: $25.00
The Birchmere's becoming the new State Theatre with all these hippy music bookings I guess.

And the hippies are the one thing that kept the State from going out of business.
i remember how odd i thought it was when mates of state played the state theater a while back.
