Is Exit Clov really a bigger draw here than Cloud Cult?
I went to the last two Cloud Cult shows. The first one at IOTA, there couldn't have been more than 20 people. The other one at DC9 did significantly better, but I don't think it was anywhere near sold out. Both of Exit Clov's Black Cat headlining gigs were pretty full…

I'm a big fan of both, so like you said, great bill either way.

I have a feeling Cloud Cult may become more popular once The Meaning of 8 is released…
Info on the Thievery show would be much appreciated.
Tickets are $15, on sale at 5pm Friday 2-9-07. Show is Sunday March 11th at 8pm, and it is to benefit the Callum Robbins Family Fund. Other acts are HEAD-ROC and ANTELOPE. Thats all I saw on the Black Cat site.
Thievery is a DJ set

Hmm, according to that schedule Arcade Fire are playing the DAR on May 4. Interesting.
Oh man, when does Elvis Costello go on sale?
Why does Arcade Fire have to come to town while I am a Jazzfest?
Ra Ra Riot have been added to the 3/22 The Spinto Band show on the Black Cat backstage. They are definitely worth seeing.
For those with kids or looking for a day show, there is this, Rock and Romp's first "indoor winter" show, with three local bands:

Rock and Romp
Saturday, March 3, 3 p.m.
McGinty's Pub in Silver Spring
ALL AGES, $5 for adults, kids free

Middle Distance Runner

Soft Complex

Lemonface

All three bands actually have "real" websites too but you can find them from the MySpaces :)
Rock-n-Romp is is a great, great idea and always a good time. Kudos to Debbie for this upcoming show.

I've been waiting for The Shins to announce tour dates in this neck of the woods, and when they finally do, it turns out they're playing on my birthday. Hell. Yes. Too bad it's at DAR, but I can live with that.
