A true pioneer, but not a godfather to the contemporary electronic scene.
Avant garde electronic/composer godfather?
Someone more known for composing/idea guy than total package of ideas AND performance/touring.
Slap his name in your liner notes and critics will think you're cerebral.

What would that make Tesla?

Hey, how come nobody told me about this one?

Dwight Yoakam, June 21.

$45, bit more than I typically pay for a show!

Meh that should have gone in the commentary thread but I don't care enough to put it there.

And the mass of shitty logos assaults the eyes. Also, despite its name, this fest coincides with a new moon.
Rockstar Uproar Tour (8/16, JLL) feat Alice in Chain, Jane's Addiction, Coheed and Cambria, Circa Survive, and more.  The show was already announced, but what wasn't announced is that they're offering Lawn seats for a flat $15 from now till noon.

Probably the best line-up of any "EDM" fest on the east coast this summer. $150 is fucking steep though.
Oh, come on. You live in DC and don't seem to have any kids. $150 should be pocket change for someone in your demographic.

i applaud their attempt to list artists alphabetically by tier, although the greek character moniker totally discredits their effort.

Psh, I got bills to pay.

Avicii was announced as part of the "third phase", haven't had a chance to see who else was added.

EDC NYC has a better lineup but I guess it's considered still spring.

Personal preference, I think Moonrise is better. Solid line-up though.

6/4 is a TBD DC date. Hopefully they find something. Would go to Baltimore for that show if it did not conflict with The Bats.
