Just Announced

Heck I think we had two multiple night runs at 930 for NCATBS and Grinderman!

I would not be surprised if next year Nick comes back with something heavy….maybe Grinderman 3!

Just announced: in the next few months, House Democrats will do over 1,000 infrastructure events across our nation

So I think DC will get the shaft as usual on this tour, rumor has it that the opening act is not worth arriving early for either and the merch will be shite

Would be great if IMP and other venues kept their own mask requirements in place. Pretty soon the only person who is going to have to wear a mask is my vaccinated kid.

This even though case rates are up 17% nationally in the past week.

D.C. will no longer require masks in many public settings, Bowser announces

From the article…
She went to D.C.’s 9:30 Club recently, and was irritated that staff told her to put her mask back on between sips of her beer. Thinking of the “glorious” rave that she attended in Manhattan, where attendees showed their vaccine cards at the door then partied without masks inside, Scott left the D.C. club early. “I just want to go to another city where they’re handling this better,” she thought.

I have a great idea, wear a mask if you want to wear one.
I don’t see that happening….would you if you had a business adopt a policy that wasn’t required by law and ticked off half -probably more-of your customers?

But will be interesting to see

Personally I think this is great news
my 50 year old special ed teacher friend got kicked out of the GBV show (35 songs in) for not putting his mask on after drinking his beer
Not to mention the cost - cause it does have one- and hassle of implementing a policy so difficult to enforce. When do you draw the line on people drinking not wearing a mask? Is it 1 second , 10,30 after a sip? Do you approach patrons during songs telling them to wear masks, get into discussion and ruin enjoyment for mask wearing patrons? Should staff actually stare at everyone drinking and time them? Do venues have to put people in bathrooms to make sure people keep their masks on?

It’s just really hard…harder than most realize

Didn't IMP put in place a vaccine requirement that is not a requirement by the city?

Yeah but that’s fairly popular…if they hadn’t tickets sold and attendance I think would have plummeted

I am not the right person to argue about this and have said what I am going to say

How can businesses legally require patrons to be vaccinated if the employees themselves aren't legally required to be vaccinated?

By not letting the customers in.
And how do you know that is the case? How do you know employees are not required? Do you know this for a fact?

Man you just won’t quit….

private corporations can have their own rules for entrance as long as they are not against a protected class

they didn't legally require it either…what ever that means

A busines can do whatever they want… and how do you know if IMP isn't making their employees get vaccinated? My employers have a mandate that you must be vaccinated.

I thought DC had become a regular stop for Nick

agreed, feel like almost every time he's in the states, there is a DC date
I've seen him at: the Club, Lincoln, DAR and the Anthem

nick has even played Strathmore twice… is there a DC area venue he hasn't performed in?  birchmere?!?
