I personally found that last Luna show a little snoozy… if I'm being honest.

I enjoyed it a lot BUT they are not setting world stages on fire….that’s for sure

Their live shows are comfort food for me at this point

Agreed, but it depends on the shows you see…they can still surprise. Last one I saw was them doing Bewitched in NYC and every member of the band showed up and played. At the end all 6 of them were on stage and it was a great moment to see. Nothing snoozy about that one.

But thinking about it more I loved Luna’s last DC show! I think they played Penthouse in its entirety (one of my favorite albums) and a few friends that usually don’t turn out anymore were at show

I think if I had any issue is it was a short show..an early show at the club maybe? And they had to get off stage! Don’t you hate that?

Yup. It was an early show. And I think they did have to cut a couple songs because I asked for Blue Thunder which they said they'd play…but ran out of time.

Yeah I loved that show… the thing that made an impression cause I was up close was how many great leads Dean Wareham played… I was under the impression Sean played more of them


I had a great time but if you love the act that much and your friends are there whom you saw the band with in the 90s at their peak… and they are playing your favorite album…well I am not a good unbiased observer

I do think the energy level in their shows has been low for decades now..I would love to dose the band with some great Ecstasy and see what happens
