Heard from friends his set at the Highline was incredible. He played "When You Were Young" acoustically and it sounded great from the youtube video I saw. Heard that people were paying insane amounts of money to get into the show.

your kung fu is strong.  the usual tricks don't work for this one (and/or they have become wise to our ways… i haven't been keeping up)

this show was indeed announced in the blast tonight.  interesting that a bigger deal wasn't made out of this, it was subtly snuck in to the "and other announced shows" section.  maybe the assumption is that this one will sell out without any additional advertising/promo.  save the limelight for the shows that need it ;D

cancel on freefest, but they get their own headlining date at the club?  interesting.  good for their fans, i guess… do they have enough material for a headlining set?

not that i could see, but does it matter?  admit it, you're there (short of anything stupid, that is - the lack of promo make me think that prices will be acceptable).

nope, nothing in the e-mail (and nothing that i could find using search engines).  tune in tomorrow you-know-when for the link on 930 or TF.

I'm there, but I was curious as to how I was going to have to sell this on friends who might see $$ as a deciding factor.

45 smackers. The link is up but I'm sure it'll be on the club site by the usual onsale time.

Damn. How do you guys find this stuff? I tried searching on ticketfly/google but came up empty-handed.

$45 will thin the crowd out a fair amount methinks. But it's better than what some of the city prices have been.

eh, this is close to the upper limit of $50 that i had in my head (mind you, this was a limit that i assumed for others, i.e. the price at which this show wouldn't have sold well.  like betao, i'm there pretty much no matter what.  but i'm weird that way)

hopefully it will keep the crowd a little sparse - more room for dancing.

whats funny is that also on Nov 4th, Pretty Lights is at The National.

all of the raver kids here are furious.

Aren't those two interchangeable? That will cut the attendance of both shows in half.
