Just Announced

Sorry, that's what I did earlier and it worked. I'm sure Live Nation controls most of the ticket inventory and provides 6th & I with a limited supply.

If you call the 6th & I box office directly to purchase (For Beirut), there are no service charges.

Los Campesinos played the same song 11 times in a row at the Ottobar this past winter.

Um….no.  I thought they put on a hell of a show considering they were missing a band member and Gareth's voice started going 3 songs from the end.
(Hey Koz,)

According to Pollstar: All American Rejects @ 930 4/28/09
Couple of dc9 shows:
Harlem Shakes - Apr 11
Japandroids - May 4
Illinois - May 7
(anyone know why Illinois have played dc9 4 or 5 times in the last couple of months? is it a show for each one of their EP's that they are releasing?)

If this is a full band set, I guess it's justifiable while still high but if Simon thinks a significant amount of people will pay that much for a dj set, all that dmt has finally warped his brain beyond repair.

predictably enough, blame the DMT.  damn wishful thinking.  certainly makes this much less interesting… hopefully they'll add a bunch of other acts to the bill.

With Paramore.

$10 lawn tickets, apparently

Is it wrong that I'm considering paying $10 to go to this just to see two attractive girl-fronted bands?
Somebody posted about Spoon playing GW in late April. I've been checking their website everyday to confirm the show, and I've yet to see anything show up. Any follow up?

No. The girl-fronted band that opened for Plants and Animals was fukkin' epic. The fact you are willing to go out to Nissan for two horrible bands is wrong, though.
just my guesss but the Spoon show is likely a daytime students only show at the "mount vernon" campus of gw in upper northwest…

From the GW Hatchet:

"Program Board announced Sunday that the Spring Fling and Fountain Day concerts will be combined this year to form "Fountain Fling," an all-day event on the Mount Vernon campus on April 25.

PB said the event was moved to the Mount Vernon campus after they learned that the Smith Center would not be available as a rain site for Spring Fling due to "scheduled construction projects on the building," according to a news release.

"Fountain Fling has been in conception since the beginning of the year when we learned that the Smith Center would not be available," said Sara Miran, PB-PC liaison. "There will be a major headliner performing at Fountain Fling that will be released at a later date."

I live less than a mile from Nissan, so getting there is not a problem for me.

Undoubtedly the most over rated band ever in the history of music.  Three second rate musicians led by one huge megalomaniac who can't sing his way out of a bucket.

A laughable statment from a guy who has seen Sevendust 50 times and Puddle of Mud in the double digits.  Unless you were for some reason being paid to be at those shows in which I take it back.

I'm not much of a fan of U2 after Unforgettable Fire, and yes bono suffers from a hefty dose of megalomania, but the rest of your statement is actually pretty funny.
I bet tickets are 200 bucks for the field.
