Just Announced

He is not Rick Perry, though.

He definitely is not.  Which makes him an angel to some, I suppose.  ::)

Back to the show announcements.

Amazed how big these guys are getting. What is driving it…NPR? KEXP? They sound OK, but like so much new stuff it all sounds like a uber-sincere Arcade Fire/Mumford & Sons mashup after a while. It's Bob Boilen's world, we just live in it.

good ole marion barry.
tangerine dream tix on sale now.

edit: dammit.  60 seconds after i bought tix i'm told that we have a wedding that weekend.  why do people get married on all the wrong weekends #@%&$!!!  if/when the show sells out and you're looking, send me a PM… *sigh*.
you poor straight people . . . .   ;)

and god, i worship this band.  if it is possible to "lose reality" as a young person, it happened to their soundtrack to the movie legend.  where is brian, to make fun of  my obsession with anything ridley scott?
lol ;D

edit: MD just recently passed a same-sex marriage law to take effect in 2013.  great, just great - starting next year my gay friends can ruin my weekend, too.
they were *the* show / band at SXSW

Looks like no tickets for the free show?  First come first served?

Saw Of Monsters and Men a few weeks ago - enjoyed it and would certainly go to this.

Edit: confirmed by calling their box office.  Just show up.

Confusing.  I "purchased" 4 free tix on the site.  I downloaded them.  On their face, it reads: "1st Come, 1 SRV."  So, does this mean 5000 people can show and they will admit to capacity, or does it mean that those wh purchased these free tickets will be admitted first come first serve?  If its the former, then why have tix available to "purchase." If the latter, then why tell callers "Just show up"? I will call tomorow/monday for (more) clarity.

nice. non-transferable will-call tickets make the presale tickets a pain, but the low fees/thursday friday combo make it attractive.
