Well, I'd think his target audience would be looking for something to do that day…

So the holidays have begun and this thread gets lost to the second page…

The Cassettes @ Iota 12/15 (Katrina Relief) and that's about all to mention re: Iota…Probably deserves it's own thread – what the heck is going on w/ Iota's schedule?? I'm sure the artists on the calendar are fine and dandy, but nothing has jumped out at me since early this year.

Nada Surf @ Starr Hill 2/9/06. Does this mean a return to DC? (Or will it be @ Sonar?)

I think they are doing alright.

Detroit Cobras were there a couple of weeks ago. Heartless Bastards a couple weeks before that.

Immortal Lee County Killers w/ Thee Shams on Thursday. Okkervil River w/ Charles Bissel from the Wrens next Monday. I saw Mark Gardner and Hopewell on their calendar also.

Perhaps they've lost a little business to Jammin Java, but I think iota has had a decent schedule this year.
I agree about Iota. I haven't been there in a long, long time…and I used to be there at least once every coupla months.

Looking back, the Drams/High Strung show was JJ show that could have been and Iota show, except it was on Iota's open mic night of the week. (Wed). And looking forward, Robbie Fulks is playing JJ instead of Iota (where he always packs them in).

I would definitely make the drive to see em again. That 9:30 show was amazing. Is that the closest they're gonna be?
