i wonder how bad it will be
Well it is always awful :D

Actually most of the time you couldn't hear Marks guitar or vocals anyhow. Hopefully they will have just got tighter and better. The last few time I have heard them though their sound has gotten worse, more murky. Hopefully they will get that sorted out.
…AYWKUBTTOTD has been getting so much press lately, even in mainstream sources like Entertainment Weekly as well as late night show gigs (Letterman, etc.). I'm really surprised they're playing the Black Cat instead of the 9:30.

They played 9:30 in October and I doubt there were more than 450 people there.

not that they were sure to be big, but i think they will never be big with just josh singing, mark had the better voice

I thought the song they played on Letterman was awful, not the music, but the lyrics and the delivery of said lyrics

Maybe they will turn into Wheatus? (who have new Spoonerism work called Suck Fony)

I really like the Mark track on the new album that was. Its the great lakes. I would go and see him live at iota….
Yeah, the new album is already on my top list of disappointments for 2005. Not that it's bad, but it certainly isn't the album is should've been. Quite a let down from the last one.

The moral of the story is: Never kick the psycho junkie out of the band.

That thought deserves a thread of its own.

I'd love to go just to see them perform "Cheat Death". I love that song.
Odd but excellent combination: BR549 with Mosqitos at Funk Box, March 5.

agreed…i enjoyed the last one but i'm not too impressed by what i've heard so far from worlds apart. the choice of song for the letterman gig was pretty boring and i'm always disappointed by the sound of performances on the late night shows.

they're really pushing this album in the press tho and i thought maybe they had a bigger fan base than the black cat would support.
this could be a good one at the black cat, especially on the backstage.

MON APR 4- OUTRAGEOUS CHERRY, THE WITCHES $7 backstage 9:00

OC's new one is pretty good, not as much boring psych stuff. punchier, poppier.
Oasis has announced N.A. tour dates, but it's very few…closest is Philly.
