Our annual Festival features Dozens of popular National Headliners, Regional Features and Premiere Local Performers in a mix of genres across 4 stages during 4 days. Their many Causes will participate with workshops, lectures and screenings interspersed throughout the weekend and anchored in Seven Pavilions, each with a theme important to the mission of the individual Cause.
Attaque 77

longstanding Argentine punk band.. started out a bit like an Argentine Ramones….they've never been to DC before.. but without the guy who was the lead singer for 20+ years - Ciro Pertusi- it seems like a ripoff..and I won't be going…

At first I was like:

then I looked at the artist list…and was only remotely interested in TBA

wow, that is quite possibly the worst festival name I've ever heard

Kinda feel like I should support these kind of things and then I realize there are so many things to do other than see a lame band with an even more unenthusiastic audience
You could pull off something like this in New Orleans or Chicago or NYC and get 40 bands and a bunch would be really awesome
but I predict that 40 out of 40 bands that hit those stages are going to suck

Seriously…way does the vast majority of local live music suck?

Anyone remember that A Place to Bury Strangers show at 930 in October of 2008? For some reason, they headlined a show whose doors were 10:00 PM. Needless to say, it was the biggest and emptiest the club ever felt. They couldn't have even filled the backstage at that point.
