And he put it on.

Joe texted me this bulletin as I was on a train to NYC to see AC yesterday. ;D

They'll most likely have a whole new batch of songs ready by the time this tour rolls around and MPP songs will be kept at a minimum (although "In the Flowers," "My Girls," "Summertime Clothes," "Daily Routine," "Guys Eyes," "Lion in a Coma" and "Brother Sport" all sounded great last night!)

how did it compare to the dc show.

heard they've stopped playing live instruments all together.
There were a little drums and guitar here and there.

I liked the DC show more mainly because it just sounded better.

IOTA is getting better with bookings.
I dunno, though they've gone through a winter dry spell, they've had many good bookings over the years. I think they've just got more competition now. Handsome Family has played Iota before.

I'm interested in this show, plus Juana Molina, Pomegranates, Langhorne Slim, & Clem Snide….all of which are booked in the next couple of months. Maybe they have a new booker ;)

Is this Nadler's first time in town?
I think it is!  I'm not sure who's headlining….Handsome Family or her. We'll see.

I'' have to give her a listen. Though if I went to the Iota, it would be my first smoker friendly show in a couple of years.

Velvet would've been a better fit for Marissa Nadler.
