Too bad it costs more than $13 for a gun and bullet, cuz blowing your brains out is a much better idea than seeing the Blood Brothers…God, why do people like them so much?

For all the emo kids out there, MCR put up a Hangman/fill in the blank thing for the second leg of their tour, and I'm pretty sure they're playing in Williamsburg, VA, at William and Mary Kaplan Arena on April 28. I'm guessing this is also the leg with Muse opening. Though I have to admit, MCR's new cd is good, plus Muse is great. But I'll be at Coachella that weekend seeing Rage, so no can do.

the rock and roll hotel is booking some great stuff … the broken west is opening for the walkmen there on 3/23 and opening for the long winters on 4/3 … are they just living in DC for the week between?

Listening to The Blood Brothers is like listening to a hundred nails on a chalkboard. They played the most annoying, incoherent crap I've ever heard the one time I saw them.

Um, dude, this is a mistake. A show with these two bands might happen, but whther at DC9, someplace else, or not at all, still totally up in the air. No one seems to know who posted this one on DC9's site.

Wow! I just noticed two upcoming shows by Sounds of Kaleidoscope, who put on a great set at the Comets on Fire show last year. They're at Iota Friday Feb. 9, opening for The Glory & The Majesty (anyone heard them?). And then they're playing their own show at Warehouse Next Door on Feb. 28.

Fans of MBV, Spacemen 3, Swervedriver really ought to check them out.
