cursive should be the early show…
Just Announced
Cursive is definitely the late show.
Per tickets.com:
Cursive 9:30 Club Tuesday, 10/3/06
10:00PM EDT
But that's okay, because the Thermals are the real draw for that show.

Have you heard anything about the new Thermals album?
I saw them at some art collective place in Baltimore with the Hold Steady a few years ago and can't wait to see them again

Uh oh. Aaargh, a Monday. May have to bite the bullet.
I hate to be the one to ask the eternal question – any chance we can find out if there might be a D.C. date? 'Cuz while I'd buy tickets for this as a safety net, I don't have much hope that enough folks realize what a great bill this is to ensure resale….

What ever happened to that place? That was the first and only show I went to there. I think it was called the Imperial? Now I can't find any listings for them. Sucks if it is shut down for good. It was a cool place to see decent bands in a non crowded laid back atmosphere
It was someone's house, so I'm guessing they got into trouble w/ zoning. That, or they just got sick of people trashing their house all the time.
The Supreme Imperial maybe? I didn't realize it had shut down. I saw TVOTR there with Econo and it was a top-notch show.
Too bad the house band put themselves on every bill. Man, they couldn't have been anymore bland if they tried.

So this confirms it; no chance of a DJ Shadow dc date. :)
It was a band called The Hush. Their site is down, but they had a female singer and were on most of the bills that I ever saw promoted there.
