sorry i didnt mean to imply ALL those shows were in another thread. as suggested above - i figured the TERMINAL 5 thread - which included ALMOST all of the shows currently playing there - would suffice. for those who were interested in terminal 5 - i figured theyd look there.
and im not testy at all. i just thought it was OBVIOUS. why waste this thread with all the shows around the area. obviously we're all over the place, so i primarily dont list all the nyc shows. no reason to, *most* the same bands play DC too. just my thought.
and i started the cmj thread for the same reason. for those interested in cmj, they could read that thread vs me posting every show that will be play at cmj in the 'just announced'.

Fuck that, guys. Seriously, there are so many artists/bands that skip DC on such a regular basis, that those of us who are willing to see them in NYC, should get the heads up. I mean, that's why I posted the PJ Harvey date back there. I appreciate all of the NYC updates!

If we had a poll function, I'd vote to keep the NYC and any other outter reaches announcements. Don't care if it's in the good old Just Announced thread or separated as Rhett suggested. Actually, doing something like Rhett suggested might be a bit more organized and easier to access as long as we all use them properly. I probably won't be able to attend the out of town gigs but I do get a vicarious thrill out of it and other times I can share some of my findings.
You've got to remember that over the years this forum has gone global, thanks to several of our seasoned members with low member numbers and high post counts. It's all part of what makes this place so nice. That is, when you all aren't on the rag. :p
