Uh, oh. It's the same night as Mazarin @ Iota.
What about Wolfman Jack? Isn't he the most essential of all?

He's been dead for ten years.

WOLFMOTHER

Oh hell yeah! Anyone who loves live music MUST go to this show. I just saw them in Brooklyn over the weekend, and they blew my mind. And to see them in such a tiny place? It's going to be beautiful. (My only concern is that the stage won't be big enough for them to leap around as they normally do.)

If you were planning on seeing Wolf Parade, ditch that show and go see WP at the Ottobar Saturday. Wolfmother is much more essential.

Hopefully there will be more dates announced on the tour!

The Stills
Sonar
Sat 4/8
This date has disappeared from Sonar's calendar.
Silver Jews @ Ottobar is effing sold out. So much for tickets at the door…

And could somebody in DC please book Wolfmother - I'm not trying to miss Wolf Parade at the Black Cat to catch them at Fletchers.

Yea, capacity is 500.
I won't be there so here's my argument: 500? You must mean the entire facility. 500 can fit upstairs?

i actually think monday would be a good day to see arab strap … their music is slow and depressing, perfect for a monday
Oy, I'd make it for maybe three songs. Mondays I am wiped out, and I need a real adrenaline shot to get through a Monday show. Ok Go or Sloan are perfect. ;)

I know, seems way too small, right? But yea, upstairs. It was 450 until about 18 months ago when they were able to get the fire marshall to approve an additional 50, so it's now 500 for a standing show.

Maybe it was an off night; but the last time they played 9:30, they were absolutely awful. 2nd worst show I ever saw there. Dave Navarro solo was the worst…. Metric opened the show for South(before they were famous)
Never seen em live - I like some of their stuff but they are not in the same league as Elbow or Doves

Though I'm not sure I'd go with awful, I agree that it was not a good show. At the time, I wondered if it had to do with Metric stealing the show…
Tickets for Wolfmother go on sale March 10th.

And I agree about the South show. Not the greatest.

That's what is strange. I really like them on record. Metric was great; but South's performance never got going.
