Just Announced

This is a serious rumor, and I don't believe a fucking word of it, but I've heard that Kate Bush is playing her first live show in over 25 years at the Roseland Ballroom on New Years Eve.

I call BULLSHIT. but I'm just throwing it out there.

(If this happens, however, OH. SHIT.)
That may be right. She just did something new about a year ago. A new album maybe? Don't remember exactly but my fake money is on it being a good bet that she is playing.

Okay, I checked out something in my computer. Trespassers William played in Baltimore a few days before 11/25/03. Maybe EitS has some kind of tour history with the date. That is, if anyone is interested enough to bother looking into it.
eits played in baltimore 11/10/03 at the ottobar
i don't know if that band played there. the only other bands i know of that played were zykos and lazarus who were touring with eits at the time.
eits did not have a DC date on that tour. eits hasn't played dc since they played at the black cat on 10/05/01.

i just happen to keep track of eits' touring dates and all that jazz.. not to mention i was supposed to go to both of those shows (03 didn't work out and my car broke down on the way to that 01 show).

and since this is the jsut announced thread i'll throw in some eits that i dn't think was mentioned.. not 100% local, but…

eits:

Cool, a couple days after my bday. Not a bad present.
that show will be insane.
Is Converge any good?
if you like off the wall non-structured shred your face off metal?

absolutely.
it's going to be brilliant, and it looks like it's the last show of that tour, so should be something special.
Boy that made my day, until I got to the part about it being in February. That seems like so far away. I don't love the new Mastodon album all that much, but I'll bet they tear it up live. And Priestess rocks the cock better than any other new metal band that doesn't have the word 'sword' in their name.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed by Nethers at The National show. The songs sound incomplete. I feel like they need a solid producer to flesh out the tunes.
ok, here comes the abuse from the hipsters:

Really? I thought they took a big step up from when I saw them open for Dungen a few months ago. Perhaps they benefited from my low expectations and good position near the front.

it was a vision i had in a peyote-induced hallucination last night. so i suppose i might be wrong. but those details were pretty precise. the last time i tripped that hard was a week or so ago and i saw ed bradley interviewing jack palance on some floating cloud not in this terrestrial plain, so i like my chances of being correct.
