Just Announced

I still have never ventured to the R&R Hotel, not a good experience?  I think I've read it gets crowded and its hard to get to.  Anything else?

It just gets so damn hot in the main room during crowded shows. Plus their sound sucks like 90% of the time. That room is just miserable. They do have an awesome upstairs which has free dance parties (usually during cool band's performances haha) They do seem to book lots of cool acts and keep prices fairly low. I go where the music I like is, so I end up there a lot it seems.

anyway…

Must suck when your former band member is hosting a very popular music show and you are playing Jammin Java.

I just want to know how all the media outlets got scooped (by two weeks!) by a high school newspaper.
Moonrise fest cancelled
I wonder what permit they couldn't get. Sounds like the promoters botched it, didn't apply for permits until too late - and the city doesn't want the festival.

if that's truly the case, it probably doesn't matter when they applied…

LOL! Does Seth have kids? Prolly leaked the news to him/her.
AFIDocs, formerly known as SilverDocs.

The film selection is still solid but the venue layout will significantly cut down on the amount of films one will be able to see.

I was playing samples of their new album for my wife and I asked her if it sounded like a typical Bloodshot release.

Her reply: "Only in its mediocrity. It sounds like music old men would listen to."

Good. Now they have to eat all those deposits. Starscape always had drugs but it was never as bad with the INSANE overselling over the past couple of years.

It's a real shame about Moonrise, I generally try to stay away from the massive rave festivals but they had a REALLY solid line-up, something for everyon older and newer. Real shame it had to go down.
All Black Whiskey shows have been moved or cancelled due to soundproofing issues.  (Not sure about that Scout Niblett / Dope Body show– that's pretty far off in the future.)

Also, Carpathian Forest is not playing DeathFest due to visa issues.  (They were planning on coming over here without Nattefrost anyway, and the guitarist was going to take over lead vocals, but something happened with the drummer's visa and they couldn't make it.  More info here).
