A Geocities old-school Oasis fan site attributes Beck as saying: "I liked it when he spit on stage, it was so non-punk that it was punk all over again." (http://www.reocities.com/SunsetStrip/Towers/9847/quotesaboutoasis.html)

A couple other, similarly crappy, Oasis sites have the same set of quotes, but no links to sources and some of the quotes on there are really wanky. I find it hard to believe D'arcy from the Pumpkins thought Oasis was the best band since the Beatles.

One of those cases where a fanboy publishes a fiction and it gets repeated just enough times on other similar fanboy sites that people think it was real? Discuss.
