the club I assume?
If something is posted without venue listed, it is generally assumed it is a club show.

I'm going to call Anthem, it looks to be arenas everywhere else.

I would usually make the same assumption
but when I looked up tour dates it only said DC
last time he was here he played the anthem (with Willie I think)
was bummed about missing the Cat show, so am hoping this would be at the club

The guy he's touring with (Tyler Childers) already has a sold out show at the Anthem in December. So I think it's a safe bet it's not the 9:30 that they are playing together at.

That and Sturgill has already headlined Merriweather, though like the Black Keys the tradeoff for the smaller venue will be the ticket price I'm sure
Then let me change my position and state that Yada has defiled our sacred Just Announced thread but not putting TBD or some other placeholder because listing no venue is an agreed upon shorthand for the club. Will someone think of the children? Particularly, the hard working children out there who have only a few mere seconds a day to log onto here and read one thread and one thread only and that thread is Just Announced, where they come for a dry recitation of concert listings. And those children – who are our future – are not only having to wade through crosstalk but Yada's deceptive misinformation which warps their mind to think a concert is coming to 9:30 when it is not. Maybe that gets Yada off, him and his good time pals. Disgusting.

Disgusting.

I was happy to have yada back, but after this, I'm not sure I feel the same way
Some weak sauce man, you might have to the LOUIS THE CHILD show and give us some post show banter to redeem yourself

Dude, you take things Walkie says seriously? I always just assume he's on some vicodin-adled vision quest.

YOU'RE NOT THINKING OF THE CHILDREN
oh . . . you, two.
Ticketmaster just put up that verified fan bullshit for the Sturgill Simpson tour, definitely The Anthem.

Maybe I'm out of touch, but had no idea he could sell arenas in a lot of these markets.

Based on other locations, I'm surprised he's not playing Verizon Center.

Isn't that kind of one of the ongoing pitches Anthem makes to artists: do 2 nights here instead of 1 night in an enormodome for some "more intimate" shows during your tour? Lorde, Florence & The Machine, and others have all done this.

Quite possibly, however I've never looked at the locations/venues that Lorde or Florence in the Machine play in other markets.
Lorde played one show at Anthem

Issue there was Wizards home game that night
