Just Announced

Lou Barlow
03.05 * Arlington, VA @ Iota

Yeah, there are a bunch of new US dates on their website, but so far, the Philly and Raleigh shows are the only ones listed for the East Coast leg. But the Raleigh show is on 2/27, so if there's a DC date, it will likely be in March.
More dates added for March with Q and Not U as the opening band…no DC date so far, though.

interesting…
that would really be disappointing if they take a dc band as an opener and don't schedule in a dc date.

Nevermind.
Bettie Serveert - March 10, Iota
The best place to find Iota listings is on the tour page on www.cmt.com. That show has been listed there for several weeks.

last time i saw him he did. course, you're also treated to those ac/dc covers as well.
Adelyn, Pepper's Ghost, and Small Town Workers, Thurs. night, 1/27, at Jammin Java. Interesting: Hard rockers/great performers/awesome musicians/lyricists at a folk-sy, mostly acoustic venue. Could be interesting - all for only $8.00.

i went up to philly to see him. red house painters is probably my favorite band of all time. i've never been more disappointed in a show, than the mark koz solo concert.

he did play a handful of differently arranged rhp stuff.

for past reviews of solo shows go to sadreminders.com

thanks for the heads up … i forgot i have wilco tix for that night anyway … i really like a lot of RHP, although it's tough for me to get into some of the earlier druggier stuff … "san geronimo" is one of my favorite songs of all time, love how he just extends the chorus/coda

Any idea when the Carlsonics might go on? I've got an early (and long) meeting tomorrow, so can't stay out past 11:00 or so. Will I completely miss them? And if so, how's the other band?
