"Beginning September 2006, an event will be held that will refill the void that was left as a result of no Fall HFStival. It is not an HFS event, or an event of any other radio station, however it will be advertised on the radio as well as other forms of media.

It will go by the name of "Synnerz Paradise." There will be bands, some national, some local, there will be a skatepark, there will be electronica DJ's, among many other things….it will be huge!!

The Date, time, venue, and artist will be revealed in 2006 as the year progresses………….. "

Raconteurs playing the DC area on the 23rd would make sense as they're playing in Norfolk on the 22nd and Atlantic City on the 24th.

Crap! I just now found out that Van Morrison is playing the Patriot Center, of all places, on August 6th. Unfortunately, all the good seats appear to be gone. Why, oh why didn't anyone mention this show here? What do I pay you all for anyway?!

Man, he's been on my wish list of artists to see in concert for 15 years now! For just as many years, his U.S. tours have seemingly consisted of only shows in Boston, New York, and San Francisco. The Patriot Center seems like a strange venue for him. He should be performing at the Warner or the Strathmore, I think, but I'll take what I can get because it's Van Morrison, ladies and gentlemen, Van Morrison….
