Google: Dosh

I missed Andrew Bird's last show at Iota. Did it sell out?
Was out of town.

Never heard of Dosh, or why he/they might be associated with Bird.

Oh good! I'm going to miss Head of Femur at CMJ so this will be my chance to see them.
Those in New York can take advantage of two upcoming shows:

(i)

Tuesday, August 30: The Silent League will showcase material from their upcoming LP (titles and details and other personal items forthcoming) at the Mercury Lounge, 9:00 pm. If thatâ??s not enough, the League will be joined by Doveman, King of France, and â??Alec Ounsworth & The Pelican Picnicâ? (featuring Clap Your Hands Say Yeahâ??s Alec, members of Ida, and your kitchen sink). www.mercuryloungenyc.com

(ii)

Thursday, September 15: The League performs the CMJ Marathon Festival at the StarTime International Records showcase with Tom Vek, Dios Malos, The Joggers, The Natural History, and Foreign Born. This will happen at Scenic at 7:00 pm. http://scenicnyc.com/

Excellent. They've also announced Boston and LA dates. I'll be at the 930 and Boston shows. Hopefully we'll get something in NYC and Philly as well.

Feist is opening which is a good thing. Emily Haines and Amy Millan are both on tour with their own bands and I'd hate for these shows to end up as Broken Sausage Scene events.
according to Torr, this will be the last chance to see Trembling Blue Stars live, as they are breaking up

edit: not 100% sure if they are breaking up or just not playing live any more

Talk about oversaturation with that Feist chick. She's headlining Birchmere, opening for Bright Eyes, and opening for BSS?

I saw her play solo at Tower Records…there were like maybe 8 people there. Her cd is nice, but she was pretty boring just her and her guitar. Needed the fleshed out band sound of the album.

My favorite Clan member at Sonar:

Thu Oct 27
GHOSTFACE KILLAH of the Wu Tang Clan
SWOLLEN MEMBERS : RAY LUGAR
seen ghost multiple times. he's one of the few 90's rappers who knows how to transfer his charisma from record to the stage. i'd like to go but dont know if i can do $22 considering i saw the whole clan in 2000 for $25 and saw him for free last year with slick rick here in dc. i'm guessing cappa will show up but doubt there will be any other clan members… and swollen members are AWFUL.
this is going to flat out rule. some of my favorite bands + other ruling bands are playing too.

Not a big difference, but it's $18 if you buy in advance

Does he perform whole songs? Saw GZA at 930 a few months ago, and though he sounded fine, he just played bits and pieces of as many songs as he could.
