U.S. Senate approves bill that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent in 2023

Can you please explain what that means?
Means in 2023 we will go onto DST in March and remain on it "forever." We don't come back off in November 2023 – darker early mornings, light on the drive home commute.

EDIT: Assuming, of course, that the House and Biden agrees.
What about the farmers?

Here are some local and national horror stories from the last time we tried it.

I'd say going a little over the top with Hyperboyle with the "horror stories"

in the article:
The factual picture was a bit more complicated. The National Safety Council reported in February that pre-sunrise fatalities had risen to 20 from 18 the year before. In July, Roger Sant, then an assistant administrator-designate for the Federal Energy Administration, wrote a letter to the Post that noted a 1 percent energy saving achieved by going to DST equated to 20,000-30,000 tons of coal not being burned each day. Further, he wrote, accidents had fallen in the afternoons.

I was somewhat exaggerating on purpose as I used to be more of a proponent of doing away with it (I do feel for the families, of course). That has changed as I've gotten older.
Chuck Prophet has cancer.

:'(
Don't know if this was mentioned:

Bodega
Comet Ping Pong
July 22nd
A Friday
Nick was my favorite…..so Franz is nothing to me now.

I logged into the killsally account and already posted,  but thank you for the contribution.
Pretty sure they are playing in the basement.  Opening band is, Hillary Drinks Pedophile Baby Blood
I was so dissatisfied Monday night…ate next door..showed up at comet after dinner..maybe 9:50 with a group… they said they were closed..looked like about 8 people at bar

Sick and tired of dc bars wanting to close early..

What did you want to go to comet for at 10pm on night without a show?
I was with a group and we wanted to keep hanging after dinner next door

I just think it’s real poor form this trend of bars not wanting to go back to regular hours…suck it up DC bars..

Gotcha… however,  I don't really consider Comet "a bar." Sure, it serves beer but do people really just hang out there? That's a bar desert area though.

Bandcamp acquired.  We can no longer support them.

As long as their very artist friendly model doesn’t change, I don’t see why…

At least it’s a company like Epic Games and not Amazon, Spotify, Microsoft, etc…

What's wrong with MSFT?

Epic games breeds incels and weirdos.

yeah, but that part of town is DEAD after 10PM.  There is like nothing up in that part of Connecticut.  It's like CPP and that' s it
I bet if you were in Adams Morgan, Gtwon, Hst, Ust, the wharf, Dupont, Cap hill there would be places open
Although Monday night was always a pretty dead night, most restaurants don't even open that day too
Excuses excuses
