Originally posted by sonickteam2:No, not really. And I don't think it's based upon popularity…guess they think it's a good mix for a group tour. (but, funny, I question it too. :p )
maybe this was already discussed, but does anyone find it wierd that New Found Glory is playing at the Ottobar in Baltimore, with Reggie/Full Effect and Eisley?
Okay, I'm too lazy to do the research now. Does anyone know anything about Headphones or Mice Parade? Boom Bip, whom I'd like to see, is opening for them at the Black Cat on May 17th but it's a weeknight (as usual) and I don't know if I want to see the firt opener if I'm not interested in the other acts.
-Edit-
Wait a minute. I know I've heard some MP3s from Mice Parade at least a year or two ago and didn't like them at all. I'm almost sure of that. Any help is appreciated.

haven't seen this yet so I'll post it here…
MUSE - Sat 4/16 University of Maryland (past of the mtvU Campus Invasion)
Rumour has it that Matt Bellamy has requested all universities/colleges bestow an honourary PhD on him before he will acquiesce to play (sorry - I dig this band but Matt needs an ego check :) ).

honestly though, there are SO many emo kids at AU, do you think that's part of their recruitment strategy?
I guess there's a few at GW, and maybe 1 or 2 at GU … oh, i forgot howard, which is _very_ emo

TUES MAY 3- MOUNTAIN GOATS, SHEARWATER $10 mainstage 8:30
and regarding AU and emo … it's true, that school is so emo. here's how i see it. to like emo means you're trying harder than most people when it comes to finding music, but you're just not trying hard enough. you're seeking something different, but just not going far enough to find something good. and that's kind of how AU is as a school. if you end up at AU, yeah, it's a good school, better than most. but it's not that top tier school. to end up there means you probably fell short of northwestern, you just weren't good enough. or something like that.
no offense to anyone who went to AU. it's a good school. both of my parents went there as did many good friends. i went to UMD,CP. we burn stuff.

Apparently Student Entertainment Events announced the Muse show officially yesterday, and there's a Diamondback article about it today. Tickets go on sale on the 14th, but no word as to whether it'll be open for all or just students.

Originally posted by BookerT:not completely true, I got in to better schools but came to dc because I was going in to politics, I didnt bother applying to Georgetown because I didnt like the school when I visited, American is the kind of school where you can skate by and do ok, or if you work hard yourself it can be a great school, like a lot of schools

you could definitely tell the difference between the people who came from around the country to be at AU for politics and the kids from the east coast who were there because it has a high acceptance rate
in regards to the Mountain Goats and Shearwater playing together, I think I have to go change my shorts

And seriously, we don't riot at the drop of a hat. I swear. :o You should be more worried about the scoreboards exploding again!
