Just Announced

Thu Sept 23- CARIBOU, EMERALDS $15 Adv/ $18 DOS Mainstage 8:00

Too bad the vast majority of the crowd will talk through the highlight of the night.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks the new Caribou is garbage compared to his previous two efforts?

Very 1986 of me but I'd trek to Iota for that.  Is that venue any good for bands?  I've only seen solo performances there.
Ive only seen one band there, but I thought it was an excellent venue.

Kind of surprised that there appears to be more excitement here over Deerhunter than Grinderman.

You can really never tell with this board.

Some of us happen to like Deerhunter.  Whats wrong with that? Ive actually never heard Grinderman though, so I cant really compare my excitement over the two bands.
Nothing wrong with it. I never said there was. It was just an observation.

Check and check, man. Love Emeralds, think that beyond Odessa and Sun there's not much to love on that record. Wish I could hit this up, but I'm already going to two shows that week and will likely be busy.

Christian Motherfucking Fennesz takes priority and so does Titus Andronicus.
I think I will be at a show every night that week including Fennesz; Merzbow/Pinhas being my pinnacle.

I think the last Emeralds DC appearance was in Snailhook's house. What a difference a few years makes.

Nice one.  Saw them at black cat whenever that was, I think Iota will be a better venue for them.  i'll be there for sure.
there's always the option to stay home.

Saw them in 1984.  It would be cool to see them 26 years later.
