In some ways it is a shame that the band chose VA to make its comeback. These shows are way overhyped. The Coventry debacle left a bad taste in my mouth - I'm surprised that so many people are so eager to see the band again.
I also think the hype will die down over the next 5 months. Spring tour will be announced and a lot of people will think twice about making the trip. This band has failed to deliver quite often in the last 10 years, I'm willing to take a "wait and see" approach. Big, overhyped comeback shows = big expectations.

On Friday, October 17th, there will be a benefit/tribute concert dedicated to the memory and music of former The Situation frontman and songwriter Christopher Tucker, at the North Star Bar in Philadelphia. Performing live will be The Asteroid 4, The Sunshine Recorder, The Sky Drops, Joey Sweeney & Friends, Bloodfeathers and Fleetwood Mike (members of Audible).
There will also be a screening of a music video Christopher was working on with with Philly artist Nico as well as a silent auction, which is being organized by Philly Girl About Town. The show starts at 9:00 PM and a minimum donation of $10 will be asked for at the door. All money raised from the event will go to an educational fund for Christopher's 5 year old son, Jackson Tucker.
Please come out and show your love and support of Christopher and his music.
