Just Announced

A year or so ago, I was saying how impressed I was with the RnR Hotel's booking, as there always seemed to be a ton of bands coming that were interesting. Just now I had a look and there was almost nothing of interest. Seems like it's all drunken jinga, or whatever the hell that is, and DJs. And that's a shame.
seems like DC9 is getting some good ones:

Drug Rug
Efterklang
Plants & Animals
William Elliot Whitmore
Crystal Stilts

Yeah I saw that later, and was too lazy to add them.  I think it was talking heads website that had it listed sans Beach House the day i looked.

I didn't mind him as much as I thought I would at the Malkmus show.

I bet they'll be at SXSW…just sayin'

Probably. But I def. don't have something like that in me. Just thinking about it makes me tired.

I'd go to that too if it didn't fall on the same night as the Depreciation Guild.

The Depreciation Guild are an opener, though so maybe both would be doable.
Rad.  This may be blasphemy to some of you, but this might actually get me out to my first DC9 show…

I agree. Good shows coming to DC9. Plants & Animals are terrific live. Hypernova's also coming March 12.
First time ever going, actually.  I've never had much reason to go, and the only shows that would've lured me there (last Marnie Stern show is the first that comes to mind), I was out of town.  Dunno why…just never had the need/want to go.
