Just Announced

I don't think I saw this reported:
The Rapture @ Sonar - Fri. 2/9 (late show, 12am doors), $10

Yo La Tengo and The Rapture all in one night, same venue? Really good reason to go to Baltimore.

The Rapture was reported, i also think it's a good night at Sonar, i already saw The Rapture here though. It was so-so, i'd go to see them if The Presets were opening for them.

Woop! Bad German techno!

Is Yo La Tengo not hitting 930 this time around? I caught The Rapture when they came a few months ago, any word on who's opening for them?
dear god, thank you.

how about a DC date?!?
Not looking good: next day @ Cat's Cradle.

I suppose DC could be before Baltimore but they'd be sort of zig-zagging if that was the case. :(

I really enjoyed Middle Distance Runner when they opened for Forward Russia. Good energy and catchy tunes.

I, too, enjoy Middle Distance Runner. I probably won't make the Black Cat show but they're making a trip to Richmond about 2 weeks later, so I want to see them then.
Arcade Fire in NYC. xneverwherex, this is your big chance to piss off some people on the board.

They have a new single circulating the web and it is most excellent.

I CAN'T Believe this show is the same night as the Dears… as DND and MDR are two of my absolute favs at the moment, but I'd really like to see the Dears as well. if fact i may have made the love connection between those two bands, who perfectly complement each other :) Given the fact they both like to pull of stunts at their show, it should be interesting to see if they try to out do each other. Maybe they learn each other songs and switch places ;)
The Books
9:30 Club
4/17

If The Books can fill the 9:30, DC is hipper than I realized.

Yeah, it's a real bummer that both of these shows are on the same night. I've been wanting to see DND for a while now, and I rather like MDR, but I've already got my ticket for The Dears….
