Ratbastard addressed that Landmark/Mosque question in his own stupid way once.
Do a search for it.

Edited to add - sorry, should ShowlistDC's first world problems go onto a separate thread?

Dang it.

Oh well at least there is this to look forward to:

DC March 30 (no venue listed PLUS that is SVI/Lost Rivers night)
Baltimore March 31 (no venue listed yet)

The Veldt (Apollo Heights)
the British shoegaze group Suzy Blue (Insect Guide)
panophonic
Sasha should just add those bands to the Comet show. It is Saturday night, after all.
It would save me from having to go to two shows…

Prince Rama cancelled their SXXXSW tour, including their Metro Gallery show with Adventure on March 5.

oOoOO
at Metro Gallery

Yes and yes and yes.  If you dont know oOoOO, you are missing out on some great dark electronic music.
Strike 1 to that band based on the name alone.
Its not a band, its an individual.
And to dismiss an artist solely based on the name is silly.

Here is a link to his music, if anyone would like to check him out.

I thought you meant the Boredoms side project for a second. But that has an I in it.

how about these guys

It's electronic music. Of course it's an individual and not a band. How many people does it take to press a few buttons?
;D

it is the mosque to anyone who has been in richmond very long.  To the libs who worry that someone somewhere might someday somehow be offended by 'politically correct' banished terms well, what can you say…  I fail to see how anyone could be offended by such an amazing and beautiful piece of architecture being named a word that also can be used for other purposes.  Sad part is that the people who pussied out about this name were NOT the ones in the so called 'offended group' (is almost never is), but people who THOUGH that the ones in the group might be upset.  Libs always need a cause.
Hand Grenade Job added to the Monday Dan Sartain show. Sold!

Well I wish they'd still call it the Mosque and I'm liberal so I'm not sure what you're talking about…
