the unicorns were pretty f'ing weak when they opened for the stills at fletchers.

Drunken Pinata, Aaron and Mike's [of the Carlsonics] experimental side project, will be playing The Velvet Lounge on Thursday, April 22nd, at 9pm. They will be opening for Marty and Olivia of the Washington Social Club, who are playing solo acoustic, which is reason enough to go. Drunken Pinata will perform their 20 minute noise pastiche entitled, "The Okra and the Oriole: A Suite."

They were good, but not that good, but they did have moments of brilliance and showed plenty of potential. I would definitely go and see them again.

Yeah, alas the GBV Live on Penn show last summer counted as their DC appearance on that tour, so that may be the case with Old 97s. No fair!!
