My friend is going to this show in Philodelphia, can't say I know anything about them. But he's passing up a Les Claypool show for them and he's a huge fan of Claypool.

Tegan and Sara's fourth album, "So Jealous," will be released next week.

Check 'em out in the NY Times. It's interesting because the article is all about them as lesbian singing twins. I loved their 2002 album and didn't know they were lesbians until this article.

I'm guessing you haven't seen them live because the audience make-up is a dead giveaway. ;) During undergrad, all the baby dykes at my school primarily swooned over two acts: Ani DiFranco and Tegan & Sara.
Nope, I've never seen them. Hmmm, I was wondering why it was such a primary focus of the article. I'm hoping that, because T&S' music is more pop, the audience would be more…fun….than a DiFranco audience.
dude loves DC…….

I only have Tegan & Sara's last album, "If It Was You" – it's great, very pop. I've heard their previous albums are very folky and boring…maybe that's what you're thinking of? Don't know, but I like the 2002 album. What can I say…. (time for Markie to make a comment about Barry Manilow here….) :D
For the Shoegazers amongst us, you should try to get over to DC9 tonight (Tuesday 9/6) to see the opening band, Skydivers. They will be opening for some Rock band from Minneapolis called Melismatics. Can't tell you anything about them. Only $5. Skydivers should go on about 9PM.

Bungle Bud, wherever you are, Skydivers new song, Alcohol, sounds like they've been listening to a lot of The Chameleons. Yeah, I know Markie. Don't even bother.

If you can't make it tonight, they will both be playing again on Thursday (9/9) in Baltimore at The Mojo. In true Mojo fashion, no one has any clue about cover and time. While I can't make any promises, I might try to make it out to this show.
do you all think that the fiery furnaces will sell out considering that they have been getting a lot of press, including a story in the sunday post.

yes, they have no talent.

I'd love to see Your Pal. Alas, Tommy Keene goes on at 10:00 @ 9:30 Club, and I'm gonna try to be close up (which I dread as it's a sold out show, but what's a gal to do…) Keep Your Pal news coming, Kosmo!
