Speaking of MTV, I used to tape 120 minutes back in the days when it was decent & I was searching for good new music. My first exposure to the Screaming Trees was in this format - an overlooked gem of a video for the excellent little ditty: Bed of Roses.
I think I've talked myself into putting that record on next. Thanks Rhett for suggesting that I listen to more fat guys.

pollstar's now listing the mark lanegan show on 10/3, as opposed to 10/7.
Originally posted by BookerT:Yeah, I noticed that this morning. It's the same night as the Killers/Ambulance Ltd. show, which is a bummer. But Mark Lanegan wins for me. From what I've read elsewhere, he's doing an acoustic set.

Depending on set times, I may try to see Ambulance and then head over to the Black Cat for Lanegan.

There's also an entry about the book on his website
Originally posted by Arthwys:As Random Citizen's links probably let you know, it's a poetry book Corgan has thrown together. I'm a huge fan of his, but even I think it stinks (from the bootlegs of some of his readings). It could be kind of cool to have a book signed by him, tho.

Yeah, even if the poetry isn't great stuff, I grew up on the pumpkins, and just getting to exchange a few words with one of my idols will make my month. Now I just have to think of something to ask or tell him that he hasn't heard a thousand times already….
