It's not necessarily breaking news.. but I figured I'd throw it here because I have a question.

Are they any good anymore?  I haven't followed them much lately and last saw them years ago at what was once the capital ballroom (the new name slips my mind completely).

Damn, that DC date is the closest they have to Richmond. I'd watch them.

See him on the Gazebo stage now, because we're pretty sure he'll be a big ticket soon. This singer and songwriter plies the acoustic guitar with wisdom beyond his years. Son of the legendary Steve Earle, the L.A. Times deems him "An utterly distinctive voice that takes what's come before and artfully moves it forward."

Pollstar shows Sonic Youth as playing the 9:30 Club on Tues. 7/7 rather than Mon. 7/6.

Was the 7/6 listing from a 9:30 Club e-mail blast?  Perhaps they will end up doing two shows??

I was listening to their first album yesterday. Still awesome, and the couple of times I saw them around then were incredible.

Second album, not so much. Still interested to see what they do.

Is the Sonic Youth pre-sale sold out, or did they never actually go on sale?
