what's the price for this one? It's very tempting.
According to their website, $55 plus $25 for fan club membership.

I was rolling on the ground last night when I got the 9:30 e-mail and that was on there. It's very very tempting, but what would happen if EVERYONE there were enjoying it ironically?
What if March 30th is the day that Nick Carter has to testify for Michael Jackson?
Not so tempting anymore. Thanks.

that would be hilarious, seriously. i'd go, just to experience a completely ironic show. unfortunately, i missed the "a mighty wind" tour.
Not doubting GGWs research skills, but I think that the $55 ticket fee + $25 fanclub was only for the presale…. Which apparently went smoother than Garage, Wilco, Interpol, etc…

So does this mean that Justin Timberlake has surpassed the Backstreet Boys in popularity? He didn't need his cohorts around to keep his career moving forward.
No DC show yet… But Shins dates are slowly being announced, the closest is Philly Apr 27th.

Two notable items regarding these dates

1. One person complaining about the $18 dollar ticket price

2. Two people looking for the Chicago Presale Password on Shins forum.

It's going to get indieugly around here when they play the 9:30 club…
do the shins have anything new coming out? if not, i might skip that one, that black cat show last year was good…but way crowded

come on. . i know you want to get all surly with the philly crowds.
monday, may 23
black cat

monade
the zincs

monade is laeticia sadier's (from stereolab) other band, and the zincs are a new signing to thrill jockey. i got a promo of the zincs, and it's pretty cool stuff, somewhere along the lines of tindersticks, scott walker, sea and cake, black heart procession, etc. dark folkish stuff with some odd jazzy tendencies and hushed vocals.
word is the shins are out road testing new material
Hey, if nobody like BSB anymore, all the better for me. I won't have to fight crowds to get close to the stage to see them.
Dude. Back Street Boys are so 15 minutes ago. Billy Gilman is where it's at now. Did you hear about the time where he did an entire show acapella?

what a week in may:

mastodon/cult of luna on the 16th
gang of four on the 20th

and for the more metal-minded:

the hidden hand/YOB/dove at the talking head on the 18th
and….Snow Patrol at 930 5/24
i would definitely not include snow patrol in that list :p

replace that with monade and the zincs.
