I have no complaints with the incomparable Rick Bishop opening for Swans.

i was almost embarrassed by that crowd.  the energy in the crowd was almost non-existent, even by DC standards.  would've loved to have been at the baltimore show.

I think the stereotype is exaggerated 99% of the time but that night might have  been the worst crowd I experienced in all my show going years at the club.

For the most part I feel like DC crowds were getting a lot better during the last 5 years. But Jesus Lizard's DC crowd was so bad the night before, that Yow mocked DC at the Baltimore show.

HAHAHA Yeah that was awesome!

was that festival that much of a joke, or are stoned out hippies just tired of festivals?

yes, florida, about 30 minutes north of miami.  and yes, same festival, though different promoter.  and, like last time, the show was cancelled because ticket sales were too slow.  a bunch of d-bags on facebook boasted that they were glad they waited to buy tickets because they "knew something like that was going to happen."  there are a number of real reasons why the music scene in south florida kind of sucks and ignorance and apathy go a long way.

fun fact: death cab for cutie was on both bills.
