Just Announced

I'm not the "some girl" either.

I'd actually prefer seeing the Police to seeing Interpol, if you forced me to have to see one of them! Hell, I might even pay five or ten bucks to see the Police.
i'd rather see the police too

sometimes i think some people on here are too wrapped up in seeing "legendary" bands and such

I have a high regard for you personally & your musical tastes. Can't say that for everyone. You're a lot of things, but "some girl" isn't one of them. :D

Some girl here actually said Interpol was better live than The Police. I've seen Interpol live.

Fuck no.
To be fair to "some girl," I believe she had gone to see Interpol the night or two nights before at the Norva which was a wicked show, and I think she commented that in comparison to the wad of money she dropped on police tickets the Interpol show was better from a quality/cost and more enjoyable overall than the Police show.

If you interpret that as saying that Interpol is better than the Police live, that's OK because it's phuckin true.

But again we're comparing apples and oranges, I know you've never seen a Interpol headline show in a modestly sized venue, nor are you familiar with their material and I'm willing to bet she doesn't sniff Sting's jock like some Police fans do, so you both approached the shows from a different vantage point, so I think both perspectives are valid except of course for the fact that the Police at this point aren't entertaining enough to be invited to sell merch at a Interpol show :p

But I only say this with the love I have for you homie

No, I was referring to quote:

Definitely not worth the $250 I paid and a 5 hour and 20 minute drive from Tysons but a decent show. The next time I slip into a sudden bout of insanity please, please stop me from paying $250 to see a band!

Now back to my regularly scheduled alt. music club shows – Interpol, tonight, NorVa!

YES! This sums it up for me! I must have missed your review of the Bay area show, but I doubt it would have done me any good. I bought my ticket just after they went on sale and prior to the start of the tour with just a hunch that it wouldn't live up to the hype. By 3 p.m. on Saturday I had forgotten all about the show.

Now 48 hours after seeing Interpol AND I AM STILL FLOATING ON A CLOUD!!!!!
just Announced:

no one cares about this Police/Interpol shit.

bnyced and thedirector need a chat room to be in or something.
Ah, Interpol. What a night! What a show!

Have I missed the news on a DC date for Foo Fighters?

p.s. The boyfriend really wants to sniff Sting's jock since he missed the Hershey show so I'll have to find a way to suffer through the VC show. He's paying though!

Sorry, however I did post an actual just announced show, along with all the new cure tour dates…can I get out of the corner now?
P.S. Small clubs are great but you're going to hear a lot of shitty bands before you hear a good one. Ten percent rule.
i beg to differ. depends on the quality that the venue's booker is bringing. some small clubs have great music every night of the week.
11/5 - The Enemy (UK) - Bowery Ballroom (not sure if theres other dates)

That and the 27 Oct date, those clowns won't be on stage until well into Oct 28th….club room, right, there'd be more muthas on stage than the crowd…
the acts, roadies and posses would fill up the 200 capacity club room alone
