I thought  Ultra was nothing more than a collection of the lowest common denominator of electronic music acts and fans?


Always heard the general rule of thumb was go for WMC, leave before Ultra.

The whole week or two has kind of turned into a zoo. It's awesome that almost EVERY act plays throughout the couple of weeks it goes on. I think Ultra is an awful to cap off the whole conference though.

As a frame of reference, how much was Coachella's two weekend ticket?

For comparison, the UR1 Festival is in December and at the same location in Miami FL.  Tickets, $150, are less than half Ultra's.  Kanye West, Lou Reed, Slash, Animal Collective, Fun., Jane's Addiction, The Offspring, Keane, are among confirmed performers.

Yes, but that 575 has a 135 service fee and the 299 has a 75 dollar service fee.  That is not in line.

And the majority of the acts will just be pushing play and jumping around like clowns!
