Peter Murphy
4/1/11
State Th., Falls Church, VA

I guess the State Th. has now filled their quota of roughly one decent show per year.

Glad to know there is one closer to D.C., and on a Friday night rather than a Sunday.

Anyone been to any recent-ish Peter Murphy shows?  How were they?

(edited again, this time to add…)

Peter Murphy played The State Theater in 2009. Everyone I talked to that went hated it and said the sound ruined the show.

Uh-oh…

An Evening with The Church

Future Past Perfect. Winter Tour USA 2011

Three decades of the church in three classic albums.
Untitled #23, Priest=Aura and Starfish performed in their entirety in one night. In an unprecedented touring event the church return to select cities in the USA to play not one, but three classic albums in one night!

The band, recently inducted into the Australian Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, will begin the night in the present, covering the last decade with the critically acclaimed Untitled #23. Proceeding backwards into the ?90s the band will then perform perennial fan favourite, Priest=Aura (an album not supported by a tour when originally released in the USA).  And, what better way to conclude the evening than with a performance of the all-time classic album, Starfish.

Gotta be the small stage for Spectrum. They barely filled Velvet Lounge last year. But, damn it was a good show!
I would say Talking Head.

Last time they played Baltimore I am pretty sure it was Golden West.
The Velvet show last year was one of my favorites.  Same night Screen Vinyl Image taped the live tracks off of Ice Station.  I will definitely be in attendance this time as well.
