Very interesting.  Doing what, exactly?

It hit my MSN account at 11:13 ET this morning.  Tsk tsk….
Yellow Fever opening for Wild Flag.

Hells Yeah Great Bill.
^That show conflicts with Ty Braxton. Hopefully one more opener is added.

Wino and Scott Kelly will be doing an acoustic set. There's an acoustic Wino album due out soon.

from WilcoHQ:

"More juicy ticketing news: after some deep sleuthing, we're happy to announce that we busted some people (that is assuming you consider scalpers people) who violated our ticketing procedures for Mr. Tweedy's Dec. 7 show at Washington DC's historic Lincoln Theatre. As promised and threatened, we've revoked those purchases and will be releasing the approximately 100 tickets for sale to the public (that's you) next Monday, Dec. 6 at noon EST here. Purchasers will be limited to 2 tickets. No previous buyers for that show will be allowed to purchase again and tickets are non-transferrable and will be available only at will call with an ID."

funny.  i was going to start a thread today entitled "scalpers caught holding tickets & selling at/below face" because there are a ton of tickets available on CL at the moment.  now folks have an laternative: buying from the source.

between this news and the extras available, everyone who wants to should be able to attend this show.  cue the predictable comments, "you shouldn't want to go to this show in the first place", etc etc…

I had to go look at a calendar to make sure I knew what year it was.  OK, it's still 2010.
Well they're actually called THE Low Anthem.

Dangit!
When I first read this I thought it said that Low was coming to dc, with some band called Anthem on the bill.
Wino and Scott Kelly solo acoustic? OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOY!

Wino's acoustic album already came out. Had to order it from Europe but its SICK. Easily one of the best records he has ever made.

Finally another DC gig.
Destroyer
Black Cat
April 5

Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears
Black Cat
March 25

I  already miss the nice short, sweet concise Black Cat schedule.

xeno and oaklander, phonic riot free show at WMUC tonight and live on air http://www.wmucradio.com

both bands SVI included all amazing, the last 15 mins of xeno was pretty fucking mind blowing
Xeno set was killer. Phonic Riot have huge potential.

Tried to make it today but I'm way too beat.

Go if you were not there last night.
The tradition spreads to dc:
U St 22 Dec
Baltimore Bass Connection DC Xmas Celebration
Live performances from SPANK ROCK, DEVLIN & DARKO, NINJASONIK, THE DEATH SET. DJ sets from UNCLE JESSE, PRINCE KLASSEN HOSTED BY EMILY RABBIT & NAEEM JUWAN

I do dig U St, but the last two years at Sonar have been great… Maybe both?
