I've never even been to Ram's Head. I was thinking of going to that Roots show, but found out that it's the same day as the Siren Fest in NY.

Typically, the price of the show is set by the popularity of the band, not the quality of the music.
and i'm all for paying $30 to see the Brendan and his pals play if only because they have a deeper catalog to choose from to fill in the gaps. i've also heard they have added Dean from the Waxwings for the tour, which gives the band even more flexibility…
