Actually it has. Also, the Quarter After is playing this show. It is being sponsored by this really cool website called BigYawn , they put on shows every month at DC9. They're awesome!

I was thinking the same thing…not the indie part, but aren't you going to play Fort Reno?
No Exit Clov or WSC. Yet a band like Monopoli (and a few other crappy bands) is included. Makes no sense. But you never know who submitted and who didn't. You'd think if you are local, have some decent sounds, and can headline at the Black Cat you are worthy of playing Ft. Reno. Whatever.

Just looked into that. They're actually touring with Mayday, and will be at Iota on 7/24. Definitely want to go to that since I missed em last time around.
you're right, they're touring with Mayday.. I saw Neva Dinova the last time they were playing with the Good Life and it was quite nice.

redsock, as i'm sure this show will attract as many or more people as the architecture in helsinki show last week, and as the promoter of this, i would really talk to the DC9 staff about ironing out some of the crowd problems they had with AIH (i.e., not letting anyone upstairs until 9:45 or so, horrible line control, etc)

How does Alejandro Escovedo go from playing Iota to playing the 9:30 Club, without releasing any new material? Getting sick has done wonders for his career!

Assuming I stay away from promiscuity/adultery, dirty needles, and alcohol overindulgence, I'd say the chances of that happening are zero.
