sleater-kinney is doing a mini-tour. dc is on the list, but no venue yet. pretty please 930?
easily the best news I've heard all week - now the issue is whether to go to Balto and DC shows or just DC

Brennser – that week is Sleater Kinney on Thursday, and GBV on Saturday! (I've got tix to see them at the Bowery.) Yeah, April's lookin' good.

Rhett is opening for POD throughout May and June. Whatever happened to the Old 97's tour>?

I guess Rhett likes a challenge…

Old 97's have toured as openers on separate occasions for both Def Lepard and Matchbox 20.

They were also heckled quite a bit when they played the second stage of lollapalooza the year Korn was the headliner.

Still, this is perhaps the most disappointing news, as the new Old 97's album is due out in June. Their website says it's half done, and sounding more like Wreck Your Life in content, and less poppy than Satellite Rides or Fight Songs.

DC101's Chili Cookoff is 5/22. I wasn't aware Rhett Miller was playing, but POD leaked they were playing like a week ago.

Maybe Rhett Miller is not playing on that date. He is opening their other dates on the tour, though he is listed for a DC date on rhettmiller.com. So maybe he is not doing that particular date. My bad.

Just to clarify: I wasn't saying that Rhett Miller was not playing Chili Cookoff, just that, if so, it's new information.
