The amount of people at the last 930 show was much smaller than the Black Cat's capacity.
The building formerly known as Toad's Place Richmond is reopening under new management and will be known as The Lady Byrd Hat Factory. Shows starting late September.
From MySpace:

Built to Spill
10/17 Washington, DC
Venue TBD, but I'd guess the club.
I'm not exactly sure why but that's a fucking awesome name for a concert venue.

The original business in that building decades ago was The Lady Bird Hat Factory.

I would say "another natural DC show" but I believe Brand New has skipped DC proper every tour in the last 5 years or so.

Their Myspace now says the club, so yeah, good guess.

Indeed they have. I could care less about Thrice, but am a BN fan. Sucks as i will not be driving to Richmond to see them. But Baltimore i'd do. Anyone know where these dates are from? Neither pollstar nor the bands site has them listed.

Actually, found them: Playing Sonar on 11-11 and the Electric Factory on 11-15 with Glassjaw, who are a serious step up from Thrice.
Brand New used to be OK but their melodic sensibilities have really fallen off with the last album and the songs leaked from the new one. I would definitely be alot more receptive to seeing them circa-2009 with Glassjaw as an opener, but Daryl's health issues makes the idea of banking on them to actually show up sketchy at best.

Also, I'm not certain there's a more annoying fanbase than Brand New. It's like Warped Tour meets AbsolutePunk kiddies meets VFest 2009 attendees. *shudder*
