I really like the French Kicks last record "Trial of the Century"..surprised how people in here want nothing with them..
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
8/12
Nissan Pavilion

Good seats are still available at $251 each (because $250 wasn't enough).

Oh - that doesn't include the $23.55 service charge on each ticket. Free delivery though.

No commentary on French Kicks was intended on my part. Mostly I just want to see Tapes 'n Tapes. I'm not familiar with French Kicks much at all.
CSN&Y can blow me. I'm sticking to my policy of not paying more than a certain amount for any concert. Especially one at Nissan!

is that how you interpreted their myspace post, too?
mainly, it had been taken off the black cat page and now it's back on there.

also, the dungen show just got a bit more appealing, as nethers were added.

That was up for debate, but now I am totally there.

i hope that "totally there" was for the Bonapartes show, and you figured out some sort of crafty way to come dance with me…?

I really like the Hem album I downloaded from emusic and there are some OTR tracks on samplers that I like
I love Hem, but unfortunately had to miss the Ritter show. :( I actually prefer eastmountainsouth to HEM.
Didn't see this yet, but I just saw it on the main page and became very excited.

Eels, Sun. June 11th, 9:30 club.

Anybody see them live before? Any good? Do they play only new songs or am I gonna hear some from Beautiful Freak and Electroshock Blues?

The up for debate was actually for the NETHERS because they are amazing. . . but then I remembered we will be at another excellent show that night. I'm contemplating the Walkmen show just because I want to see Nethers so badly.
all the west coast Walkmen shows are with Simon Dawes!!

Ditto – though I've heard really negative reviews of F.K.'s live show.

It's real hard to fathom that a group who is essential playing material from two albums released 35 years ago with bonus Young songs can still get that much for a show. I'm guessin it's a 35th anniversary tour for which the cost of nostalgia goes up. Would also bet the typical CSNY fan doesn't get out to many concerts.

Saw CSN&Y twice in recent years and have no need to see them live again, and will never see CSN as Y is the draw for me. They have had in the past had the talented STAX backing musician, Booker T and Donald "Dunn" Dunn with them, plenty of solo Young chestnuts and the classic material is great to hear live. But, they "treat" us to the hair song, Nash does some drippy folkie song solo, and Stills croaks his way through some blues number.

It's too bad Nash can't reunite with the Hollies, or Young can't drag Crazy Horse back out seeing as he's all cranky again. Those I'd pay money to see…
