Just Announced

Is this a better venue than DAR?
There's always the sound issue, but a Bender show is at least general admission without seats, so I'd prefer it to DAR (unless I'm going to see James Taylor, for instance). Should feel more like a rock show….

I'm thinking no alcohol, though, as it's at a college. That blows. (Of course DAR doesn't allow drinking at your seats, so folks down beer in the hallway/lobby. Not really that much better.)
There is no drinking at Bender. Doesn't bother me since I can go without drinking at shows.

BUT there is no smoking either, which is awesome.

The sound sucks since its a generic mid-level basketball arena.

Oh, and crowds at college shows are generally full of douchebags.

You're a bit late on Van Occupanther. ggw was making fun of me for liking that one in August. Now he can make fun of you, too.
and me as well. Van Occupanther is one of my favourites of 2006. Though, i too, picked it up this summer. Saw em at Lollapalooza and they were very good. not really an outdoorsy band but i expect them to be much better in a club (or hotel)

though i have vowed not to go to any more DC shows after the new year ;)

But don't bring it to the 9:30 or you'll get quite the smackdown.

When I was 25, I had one. Those days are long past….

as such, by wanting a cd, i assume you would want an audio cd and not a data cd, correct?
Sorry I wasn't clear initially. I meant: trade store bought, audio cds, not data/mix/MP3s/homemade and the lot. (But after extensive discussion, the latter would be cool too.) So, if I attend, I'll bring my rarities, from Twist & Shout, oke doke? :)
