Still 2 hours from either Baltimore or DC I guess. Is it going to be the same setlist?

well, I would expect by then they'll have a new album out…:)
Serious question: how many have they put out since 2010? I lost count.
More than two hours when competing with beach traffic.

Who?da thunk that tiny little Milton, Del., would see indie rock greats Guided by Voices on stage at its historic ? and freshly refurbished ? downtown theater?

Well, guess what? It?s happening. On Aug. 21, Robert Pollard and friends are playing an intimate show at the Milton Theater, just a few blocks from the Dogfish Head production brewery.

The two-hour concert, which celebrates the new Music Series offering BEER Thousand, is open to the public. BEER Thousand, a nod to the 20th anniversary of the band?s classic album Bee Thousand, will be available on draft alongside other off-centered Dogfish Head beers. This imperial lager, chosen to echo the copious amounts of lager that fueled GBV?s garage recordings, is brewed with 10 grains and 10 hop varieties, and clocks in at 10% ABV. 10x10x10 = BEER Thousand! If you catch this show, you?ll be among the first to try it!
So, here?s the nitty-gritty:

    Who: Guided by Voices
    What: Concert celebrating BEER Thousand
Where: Milton Theater, 110 Union St., Milton, Del.
    When: 8-ish p.m. Aug. 21. Doors open at 7.
    Price: $25

Get your tickets now! They?re gonna go fast!

p.s. In early fall, BEER Thousand will be packaged and released throughout Dogfish Head's 30-state distribution network, pending local approval. Accompanying the beer release will be a 10-inch record with 10 songs recorded live June 25, 1994, during the "Insects of Rock" tour, the band's first tour.

It was definitely not on their site when the tour was announced because I went there when I posted the listing. May have been announced shortly thereafter.

Anyway, on sale at 10, $35 (most expensive show on the tour, it appears, oh well).
LOW was announced as an opener yesterday…

Oh, clearly. Everyone knows: go to Smackie for your sports, stripper, and slowcore news.
This was a good time last year.
On a related note, Gap Dream, who played last year are at Comet on 9/2.
